Same old Falstaff.In the sequel to Henry the Fourth, England is thrown into chaos by rebellion, sibling rivalry, and the most devious ruffians who ever skipped out on a bar bill.The play examines the extraordinary measures people in uncertain times take in the search for security, both at the very bottom and very top of the social order. It shows how moneyed interests can distort and provoke military action while remaining safely on the sidelines. And it reminds one and all that uneasy lies the head that wears a crown.
