Conductor John DeMain and the Madison Symphony Orchestra (MSO) welcome award-winning cellist Sara Sant’Ambrogio as she makes her debut in Overture Hall with Saint-Saëns’ stormy Cello Concerto No. 1 in a program of music by French composers. The MSO will also perform Ravel’s sensuous Valses Nobles et Sentimentales and Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique – each piece serving as a vignette portraying the evolution of symphonic music in France.
