The Opus Ballet Firenze open the season with Beautiful sleeping.'s Sleeping Beauty is a fairy tale that we all know, but often unaware of its distant origins and perpetuated through the centuries and civilizations.

In all the writings that inspired Perrault and the Brothers Grimm, the central theme remains the triple mystery of sleep, isolation and arousal.

Why immerse someone in such a deep sleep to coma? Why isolate the completely rule the world for a century? Why then leave the "lethargy", why release and reintegrate them into society? The answers to these questions lead us away from the world of "fairy tales": based philosophy, religion, metaphysics, psychoanalysis. "Small accounts" refer to the People, in what is more essential, more existential.

Sleep was born beautiful reading these tales and their extensions, of all the questions they ask, of all the topics they address.

Beautiful sleeping so wish "stage" - through dance, music, speech, stage design, video projections - dreams, nightmares, hallucinations, thoughts, desires, hopes to be (r) awakened by love, not just a Princess, but all beings immersed in the long drowsy and isolation, which is actually one of my nights, and we will come not then to find or to feel the spiritual richness and sheer beauty it has provoked.
