Stage One opens the season and discovers just what happens If You Give a Mouse a Cookie! If a hungry mouse shows up at your house and asks for a cookie, watch out! This little mouse will soon need milk, and then a napkin, and then a haircut, and then...Based on the "If You Give..." book series by world renowned children's author Laura Joffe Numeroff, this roller coaster ride of fun will sell out fast! The perennial holiday favorite The Best Christmas Pageant Ever returns in November and December with everyone's favorite family, the Herdmans! The Herdmans are the worst kids in the whole history of the world; they lie, steal and cheat. Now they have bullied their way into the churches' annual Christmas pageant. Slated to be the "worst pageant ever", the whole town has gathered in anticipation, waiting to see the Herdmans ruin Christmas. Will the pageant be a disaster as everyone is expecting, or will the spirit of the season change the hearts and minds of the Herdman family? Back by popular demand; join Stage One for this raucous event perfect for the whole family. November 27, December 11, & December 18, 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Recommended for ages 8 and up.
Is eternal life a blessing or a curse? That is what young Winnie Foster must decide when she discovers a spring on her family's property whose waters grant immortality as Stage One presents the literary classic, Tuck Everlasting. Members of the Tuck family, having drunk from the spring, tell Winnie of their experiences watching life go by and never growing older. But young Winnie must decide whether or not to keep the Tucks' secret-and whether or not to join them on their never-ending journey. Here for one night only, join Stage One February 18, 7 p.m. for this enchanting tale. Recommended for ages 9 and up.
Silliness and a whole lotta spunk has got a new name, and it is JUNIE B. JONES! Rounding out the Stage One season is another literary favorite, Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business! When this spirited and sassy young lady gets a new little brother who is "a cute little monkey," things get all mixed up! Based on the wildly popular book of the same name, this fun and footloose musical comes from the creators of Miss Nelson is Missing. May 1 and May 14, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Recommended for ages 5-8.
