Derby Dinner Playhouse kicks off their 2015-2016 season with the comedy SOCIAL SECURITY, opening May 12 and running through June 21, 2015. For ticket information, call 812-288-8281 or visit www.derbydinner.com.

This hilarious Broadway hit comedy tells the chaotic story of a sophisticated, art dealing New York couple whose domestic tranquility is shattered when the wife's goody-goody sister, her uptight CPA husband, and her crazy mother converge on their apartment. The comic sparks really begin to fly when the mother, Sophie, hits it off with the elderly minimalist artist who is the art dealer's best client. Falling in love again transforms Sophie from Senior Citizen to femme fatale and provides a hilarious evening for all.

SOCIAL SECURITY was written by Andrew Bergman and opened on Broadway in 1986 starring Marlo Thomas and Ron Silver. Derby Dinner's production is under the direction of and produced by Bekki Jo Schneider. The cast will include David Myers, Tina Jo Wallace, Cary Wiger, Rita Thomas, Janet Essenpreis, and J.R. Stuart.
