Darryl Maximilian Robinson Revisits 'The Actor's Choice' Episode 2.37 at The Excaliber Shakespeare Company Los Angeles Archival Project Photos

THE DIRECTOR AND LEAD ACTOR IN MULTIPLE REGIONAL STAGINGS OF EUGENE O'NEILL'S EPIC FAMILY DRAMA "LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT"!: During the 1990s, Excaliber Productions, Ltd. in St. Louis, Missouri and Excaliber Shakespeare Company of Chicago, Illinois Founder, Artistic Director and Producer Darryl Maximilian Robinson staged and starred in two revivals of the great Irish American playwright Eugene O'Neill's "Long Day's Journey Into Night". In 1993, Darryl Maximilian Robinson directed and starred as James Tyrone, Sr. opposite talented actors Suzzette Sutton as Mary Tyrone, Bill Rapp, Jr. as James Tyrone, Jr., Ben Young as Edmund Tyrone and Amy Mohme as Cathleen in an Excaliber Productions, Ltd. revival at the intimate Cummel's Cafe Studio Theatre in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1997, Darryl Maximilian Robinson directed and starred as James Tyrone, Sr. opposite Danielle Gordon as Mary Tyrone, Steven Young as James Tyrone, Jr., Ian Vogt as Edmund Tyrone and Joslyn Housely as Cathleen in The Excaliber Shakespeare Company of Chicago multiracial cast revival staging at The Heartland Cafe Studio Theatre in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Both productions were well-received and fine young actor Ian Vogt captured excellent reviews and a 1998 Chicago Joseph Jefferson Citation Award for Outstanding Actor In A Supporting Role In A Play for his performance as Edmund Tyrone in Director Robinson's 1997 staging of the work at The Heartland.
