Wicked Lit 2026 is a Halloween Theater Festival featuring two fully produced one-act plays: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, adapted from Washington Irving's short story by Jonathan Josephson, and Las Lloronas, an original play adapted by Josephson that draws from La Llorona myths, folktales, and historical events. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow follows the adventure of school teacher Ichabod Crane as he encounters the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow. Las Lloronas is told through storytelling, music, and dance, presenting five centuries-spanning stories of La Llorona and is intended for mature audiences due to depictions of violence. The event also features a Halloween artisan faire, a Wicked Lit museum and photo experience, and a full-service bar.
