Theatre People or The Angel Next Door, written by Paul Slade Smith and directed by Christopher Williams, is a comedy about Oliver Adams, whose novel about the woman he loves is about to be published and adapted for the stage by celebrated Broadway playwrights Charlotte and Arthur Sanders. When Oliver, the playwrights, and the object of his affections, Margot Bell, all converge for a weekend at a Newport, Rhode Island mansion, secrets hidden by thin walls threaten to upend everything. Only the power of theatre can save the play, the novel, and Oliver's heart.
