Private Lives by Noël Coward is a co-production between Scripps Ranch Theatre and The Roustabouts Theatre Co, directed by Phil Johnson. The play follows Elyot and Amanda, a divorced couple who, while honeymooning with new spouses at the same hotel, unexpectedly reunite, reignite their passion, and impulsively abandon their new partners to run off together. The fierce love that once tore them apart quickly resurfaces alongside the conflict and volatility that defined their relationship. Written in 1930, this classic comedy of bad behavior and desire has featured some of entertainment's biggest stars, including Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, and Maggie Smith.
