What happens when an uptight intellectual and a free-spirited call girl are thrown together by fate… and a noise complaint? Pure, electric comedy. This April, audiences at the Rosalie Theatre will find out firsthand as The Owl and the Pussycat, Bill Manhoff's beloved two-character battle of wits and hearts, roars to life in a production guaranteed to make you laugh, gasp, and maybe root for these two unlikely lovebirds.
Azena Garcia brings fiery charm and irresistible wit to Doris, the street-smart neighbor who refuses to be ignored, while Nick Goodreau plays Felix, the buttoned-up writer who really, truly did not ask for any of this… but might be glad it happened. Together, they deliver the kind of on-stage chemistry that leaves audiences grinning from ear to ear.
Directed by Matt McLaughlin, this production brings a fresh, playful energy to Manhoff's timeless script. The creative team includes Stage Manager Chevy Knight, Scenic Designer Jennifer Read, Lighting Designer Steven Montoya, and Costume Designer Samantha Jo Jaffray.
