Debbie Allen Dance Academy (DADA) and the Annenberg Foundation proudly present Sounds of Sandoval - a jazz festival led by 10-time Grammy Award-winning icon Arturo Sandoval. Featuring Sandoval in an intimate cabaret-style concert, salsa classes led by internationally-recognized director, dancer, choreographer and actress Debbie Allen, a master class and a performance for budding musicians, the two-day festival promises to be a special weekend with two industry legends for jazz and Latin dance enthusiasts, and aspiring musicians. The festival is the first public event to take place at the recently debuted Rhimes Performing Arts Center, a 24,000 square foot building serving as Debbie Allens sanctuary for dancers and performers to take classes and connect with others in the community. The building named after DADA benefactor and television producer Shonda Rhimes features five dance studios, a performance space with seating capacity up to 250, and state-of-the-art classrooms for teaching the next generation of artists and performers.Food and cocktails will be available for purchase before the Sept 17th concert. All attendees will need to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event. Masking is optional.
