Memory Lane is a Desert Road is an evocative memory play exploring photojournalism and Nubian-American identity, created by the father/daughter duo Nabra Nelson and Michael B. Nelson and directed by Sarah Showich. The story follows Fatima, a young half-Nubian American, as she sifts through her late father's photos to uncover her sense of self and belonging in a world shaped by global politics. This production seeks to highlight the experiences of SWANA communities, emphasizing the importance of diverse narratives in the theatre landscape. Performances will take place at the Zephyr Theatre during the first and second weekends of April 2025.
