Write Act Rep presents Musical by Emmy-Winning Song Writer Wayne Moore, FREEWAY DREAMS

By:
Write Act Repertory's Producing Artistic Director John Lant presents the theatrical musical production of Wayne Moore's FREEWAY DREAMS, a fantastical dreamy musical comedy idling as a limited engagement at Write Act Rep's new home, Brickhouse Theatre in North Hollywood, with Press Opening Weekend beginning May 19, 2017 running through closing, Sunday June 11, 2017.

FREEWAY DREAMS - Commuters, stuck in freeway traffic, and as they wait for the gridlock to disperse they begin to daydream, their dreams emerging through songs such as 'Manic-Depressive Blues,' 'A Big Woman Needs A Big Man,' '...And A Pizza To Go,' 'My Superman' and 'What If The Other Guy Wins?' hitting the mark in satirizing the L.A. lifestyle.

Moore states that he wrote the show about an optimistic L.A. Sound bizarre? It's anything but. "The show is about people stuck on the freeway, and the fantasies they have in their lives. Actually, they're stuck so long they end up in each other's fantasies, so there's lots of funny stuff'"

"FREEWAY DREAMS was originally staged as a cabaret show that ran for five months at the Gardenia, and now premiering as a full theatrical production here at our new home and I could not be happier. The songs are infectious and I can't get them out of my head," states Producing Artistic Director Lant. "I am proud that we have this amazing creative talented team of artists helmed by, always clever, director Jim Blanchette. Wayne brought us the project on Oscar weekend and we played this on television breaks falling in love with this right away. Unlike traffic you don't have to hurry up and wait - it's here."
