STAGE TUBE: Criss Covers 'Teenage Dream' at The Mint
New to GLEE's McKinley High, Darren Criss is certainly already making a name for himself. In the video, Criss performs on November 13 at The Mint in Los Angeles. This was part of the acoustic set that was added on 11-13-10 after Darren's 2pm show was sold out.
As reported by BroadwayWorld last week, after making his GLEE debut in last night's November 9 episode, Darren Criss will be joining the cast as a series regular. According to the Associated Press, Criss as signed on to not only finish his guest stint this season, but join the cast as a regular for season three.
A University of Michigan grad, Criss appeared as Harry Potter in the YouTube viral hit A Very Potter Musical, and A Very Potter Sequel. He is credited with writing half of the songs in A Very Potter Musical and all of the songs in A Very Potter Sequel. He has also starred as Josh in the television series Eastwick and a guest-starring role in Cold Case.
GLEE made its triumphant return to prime time with an astounding 12.3 million viewers tuning in to the Season 2 premiere. The anticipation and excitement for GLEE music reached new heights with over 250,000 new tracks downloaded in the first 48 hours available.
