Q CON 2026 To Return To West Hollywood As Part Of Pride Month

Prism Comics has announced the 5th Annual Q Con, described as Southern California’s only LGBTQIA+ comic convention, set for Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Fiesta Hall in Plummer Park in West Hollywood.

The event is part of WEHO Pride Month’s arts and entertainment programming and will offer a daylong celebration of LGBTQIA+ representation in comic books, graphic novels, gaming, cosplay, and popular media. The convention is free and open to the public, with programming designed for a wide range of audiences, from pre-teens to adults.

Attendees will be able to meet comics creators, attend panels, collect autographs, and participate in cosplay activities in what organizers describe as a welcoming and inclusive environment. The convention’s all-ages costume contest will return, and a new feature for 2026 will introduce portfolio reviews conducted by comics professionals for aspiring creators.

Special guests for the event will include Richard Fairgray, Maia Kobabe, Lee Knox Ostertag, Joe Phillips, ND Stevenson, and Jen Wang, whose work spans comics, graphic novels, and animation.

More than 100 creators and cosplayers are expected to participate, including A.C. Esguerra, Ajuan Mance, Andy Alves and Ben Crane, Bree Williams, Jim McCann, Jose Pimienta, Josh Trujillo, JP Karliak/Queer Vox, Kendra Wells, Knave Murdok, Lucky Srikumar, Rex Ogle (also known as Rey Terciero), Sam Irvin, Sarah Gailey, Shannon Watters, Tara Madison Avery, Tilly and Susan Bridges, TOKYOPOP, and Qweerty Gamers, among others.

Programming and portfolio review schedules will be announced closer to the event date.

Q Con is supported in part by an arts grant from the City of West Hollywood and will include sponsorship from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, Oni Press, Modern Fanatic, Los Angeles Film School, and IDW Publishing.

Prism Comics, founded in 2003, is a nonprofit organization focused on promoting LGBTQIA+ diversity, equity, and inclusion in comics and popular media. The organization also presents programming at major conventions including San Diego Comic-Con, WonderCon Anaheim, and Los Angeles Comic Con.
