Peter Mac's JUDY GARLAND GET HAPPY! A 90TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION Set for June 10 + Regular Performances, LA

By:

June is Gay Pride Month and Judy Garland is turning 90! Judy Garland Live in Concert: GET HAPPY! A 90TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION is a brand new show as Judy Garland (Peter Mac) takes you on a musical journey through her life from her days in Vaudeville , to her illustrious film career at MGM, her legendary concert comebacks in the 50's and 60's, her CBS television series and beyond. The show runs every Friday and Saturday at 8 PM, with a Special Sunday Evening show on June 10th which includes a special cake reception. The show runs at the Peter Mac's Supper Club Theater in The French Market Restaurant located at: 7985 Santa Monica Boulevard, Suite 104, West Hollywood, CA 90046.

GET HAPPY! Is a theatrical experience featuring all of the Garland standards you love best, including The Trolley Song, The Man That Got Away and Over The Rainbow.

The show has been created and conceived by Peter Mac, fast becoming known as the premiere Judy Garland Tribute Artist. In the words of Don Grigware from BroadwayWorld: "There is literally no one who comes even close to Peter Mac, who sings the only sincere loving tribute to Judy Garland anywhere."

June 10, 2012 marks what would have been the legendary diva's 90th birthday and appropriately falling on LA GAY PRIDE day. So come out come out where ever you are and take this musical journey.

Mac appears weekly, every Friday and Saturday as Judy Garland. The tribute artist is renowned for his homage to the rainbow girl, garnering special raves for his determination to bring to life the style, wit and musical legacy of an artist rather than caricature her familiar frailties as a human being.

In 2005 Mac was interviewed for the United Kingdom television documentary, Hollywood Goddesses. In once in a lifetime opportunity, Mac took the stage as Garland at New York's historic Palace theatre, recreating moments from Garland's concert repertoire and the three famous engagements she played at that venue.

In 2007, Mac was cast again as Garland along with several other Garland impersonators to perform in Rufus Does Judy at Carnegie Hall.

Since moving to Los Angeles, Mac as won two Gridward awards for outstand work as a Judy Garland tribute artist. He was nominated for four BroadwayWorld.com awards in 2012 including best Cabert Artist.

Tickets range between $15 And $30 and can be purchased at BrownPaperTickets.com or Goldstar.com. $30 at the door – Cash Only. The doors open at 6:45pm for dinner and the show begins at 8pm. There is a $25.00 food/drink minimum for each patron.
