Pat Whiteman to Debut New Cabaret at the Gardenia, 9/11

By:

Singer Pat Whiteman returns with a brand new show entitled "A Whiteman Sampler" Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Gardenia in West Hollywood. Jason Graae, who directed her SRO show "The Mood I'm In" four years ago at the Gardenia is back directing again and this time John Boswell serves as music director.

Ms. Whiteman has become a popular performer on the Los Angeles cabaret and club scene in the past several years performing in a variety of shows at Rockwell Table and Stage, Vitello's, Don't Tell Mama's, The Federal and McCabe's.

Cabaret Scenes Magazine calls Ms. Whiteman, "a powerful, evocative singer able to convey a range of varied emotions in any song." BroadwayWorld says: "Whiteman's voice is akin to that of Maureen McGovern: it is richly riveting like fine silk. She is definitely a singer's singer, the perfect interpreter of the composer's intent, and lending an unforgettably individual style."

In addition to cabaret, Ms. Whiteman has performed in such theatre productions as Pump Boys & Dinettes, Smoke On The Mountain, Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?, Nunsense II and Godspell. Her voice has also been heard on national and regional commercial jingles. She is a private voice teacher and holds regular musical performance workshops. She also served as a faculty member in the Entertainment Studies & Performance Arts Division of UCLA Extension.

The Gardenia is located at 7066 Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood. There is a $20 cover charge and two-beverage minimum. Reservations are highly recommended and may be made by calling 323-467-7444. $20 Cover and 2-drink minimum.
