The popular ABBA tunefest, Mamma Mia! will return to the Orange County Performing Arts Center for a limited engagement beginning August 7 and running through the 19th.  As part of their Curtain Call Series, the Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus show is set for The Center's Segerstrom Hall stage.

"Inspired by the story-telling magic of ABBA's timeless songs, writer Catherine Johnson's sunny, funny tale of family and friendship unfolds on a Greek island," state press notes.  "On the eve of her wedding, a daughter's quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother's past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago. Songs including 'Dancing Queen,' 'The Winner Takes It All,' 'Money, Money, Money' and 'Take A Chance on Me' are all featured in this feel-good night of fun and laughter."

Nominated for a Tony Award for best musical in 2002, Mamma Mia! is now being staged at 12 locations around the world, including ten sit down productions and two tours.  The original cast recording of Mamma Mia! is available on Decca Broadway.

Tickets to performances at the Orange County Performing Arts Center are $23 to $73, and go on sale June 10. They will be available at The Center's Box Office at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa, by calling 714-556-2787 or online at www.ocpac.org.  For more information on Mamma Mia!, visit www.mamma-mia.com.
