Lena Waithe to Host Sneak Peek Reading of THE PETERSON SHOW

Emmy Award-winning actress, producer, screenwriter and performer Lena Waithe (Showtime's The Chi, BET's Boomerang and Twenties, Netflix's Master of None) will host a sneak peek reading and talkback for The Echo Theater Company's upcoming world premiere of The Peterson Show on Friday, Aug. 28 at 8 p.m.
A darkly funny, emotionally charged new play written by Emmy-nominated playwright Janine Nabers and directed by Michelle Bossy, The Peterson Show follows five former child stars who reunite as the legacy of their beloved television father collapses into scandal.
Ensemble members Kelly McCreary (Grey's Anatomy), Tamberla Perry (Brilliant Minds, Clydes at CTG) Kristen Ariza (The Fosters, StartUp) and Deanna Reed-Foster (The Vince Staples Show, The First Deep Breath at the Geffen) will be on hand to read selected scenes from the play and join in the talkback alongside Waithe and Nabers.
All tickets are Pay-What-You-Choose. The full production of The Peterson Show will open at The Echo Theater Company on September 19 for a six-week run.
