Kimball and Lambert Ring In New Year's Eve at UPRIGHT CABARET

By:

L.A.'s famed Upright Cabaret brings together three talented broadway performers to sing in the New Year for Upright Cabaret's 2nd Annual New Year's Eve Celebration starring Broadway's Chad Kimball, Leslie Odom, Jr., and Adam Lambert with Los Angeles Legendary Music Director Gerald Sternbach at Upright Cabaret at Mark's Restaurant, 861 N. La Cienega Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90046.

Critically acclaimed singer, actor and Broadway performer Chad Kimball will headline this cast of Upright favorites. Kimball was recently seen as 'Huey Calhoun' in the critically acclaimed La Jolla Playhouse production of 'Memphis' which will have its Seattle debut in January 2009. Kimball was last seen on Broadway portraying Beatles front man John Lennon in "Lennon" at the Broadhurst Theatre. In 2002, Kimball received critical praise for his work in the Broadway revival of Into the Woods. Other Broadway credits include The Civil War and Good Vibrations. Chad won a Bistro Award for his solo concert, which he reprised at Joe's Pub.

Mr. Kimball will be joined on stage by Leslie Odom, Jr. who was the youngest actor to ever be cast in the Broadway production of Rent. After his stint on Broadway, Odom attended Carnegie Melon University and then relocated to Los Angeles where he has appeared on CSI, Big Day and Grey's Anatomy. Also appearing, will be Wicked alum, Adam Lambert. Angeleno's were first introduced to Mr. Lambert with his show stopping performance in the world premiere of 'The Ten Commandments' musical at the Kodak Theatre.

This talented cast for gentlemen will be lead by L.A.'s legendary Music Director Gerald Sternbach. Sternbach was recently presented the Joel Hirschhorn award for excellence in the musical theater by the LA Drama Critics Circle. He has also won an Ovation Award and two Garland Awards.  He made his LA Philharmonic debut at the Hollywood Bowl in 2005 as on-stage pianist for Stephen Sondheim's 75th Birthday - The Concert, assisting Paul Gemignani.
