Heather Lundstedt O'Neill to Perform Music of Frank Loesser at Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal, 5/22

By:

Join celebrated Southern California Musical Theatre star Heather Lundstedt O'Neill as she pays homage to the work of one of America's most accomplished composer/lyricists in "Loesser Known: The Stories and Songs of Frank Loesser".

Composer and lyricist of GUYS AND DOLLS, THE MOST HAPPY FELLA, and HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING and the winner of an Oscar, a Tony, a Pulitzer Prize and a Grammy Award... Frank Loesser has written some of the most beautiful and well known tunes in the Great American Songbook, yet many don't know his name. With hits such as "Baby, It's Cold Outside", "[I'd Like to Get You] On a Slow Boat to China", "Luck Be a Lady", "I Believe in You", "Heart and Soul" and "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve" and many, many more, it's rare to find a person who has not been introduced by Mr. Loesser's work.

Heather Lundstedt O'Neill takes audiences on the journey of an impulsive, devilishly funny college dropout who defied the odds and achieved success many could only dream of, leaving behind hundreds of songs in his wake. The romance of Frank Loesser's melodies combined with the wit and brilliant simplicity of his lyrics ensures that this evening will leave you feeling "Warm All Over" long after the show is complete.

'LOESSER KNOWN' is musically directed by John Boswell. Special guests include Jonathan S. Hawkins and The Beverly Belles.

HEATHER LUNDSTEDT O'NEILL was most recently seen as Julie Jordan in Barn Stage Company's production of Carousel in Concert with the Temecula Valley Symphony. She also portrayed Marian Paroo in The Music Man of which Don Grigware of Broadway World stated, "Lundstedt's gorgeous soprano is one of the best I've heard onstage in a long time". Other regional credits include: Brenda Strong in the West Coast regional premiere of Catch Me if You Can at Moonlight Amphitheatre, Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls, Christine in Yeston/Kopit's Phantom, Laurey Williams in Oklahoma. She has performed internationally with Disney Cruise Line and currently tours the country in LML Music Presents' 'Live in Central Park Revisted: Andrea Bocelli'.
