The cast of GLEE will be honored with the "Favorite New Television Cast Ensemble Award" at the 17th Annual Diversity Awards on Nov. 22nd at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles.

The awards show will again this year be held at the fabulous Beverly Hills Hotel, Crystal Ballroom known for its glamorous red carpet and its sea of Bungalows and world-class history in the Hollywood community and beyond, which the international entertainment crowd who descend Los Angeles during this kudosfest have come to anticipate and become fans of through previous international syndication.

The Diversity Awards has long been considered in a class by itself as one of Hollywood's most anticipated annual awards events, known for its spontaneity and embrace of the international creative community. Now as more stateside entertainment interests and perspectives go global, the awards show is poised to continue its role in international entertainment, as more international celebs and media outlets vie for a coveted spot on the 2009 Diversity Awards carpet and stage 6PM.

According to Diversity Awards President and Southern California Motion Picture Council Board Member Jarvee E. Hutcherson, "This show as one of the favored entertainment vehicles in our town and as a vehicle bringing stars together from around the globe, is pleased to be making its return to Beverly Hills after many years away, and will continue to be a crowd-pleaser filled with top name musical talent and motion picture and television stars. That, combined with its message of diversity and inclusion throughout the international film community, makes it a great event that international media and overseas talent have come to love and appreciate.

The event will also honor NBC's "Parks and Recreation" as Favorite New Comedy Ensemble; CBS' "NCSI: Los Angeles" as Favorite New Television Action Drama; ABC Family's "Lincoln Heights" as Favorite Family Drama Ensemble Cast; and HBO as the 2009 Diversity Programming Network.

On Tuesday, Nov. 3, Columbia Records and Twentieth Century Fox Television will release "Glee: The Music, Volume 1," the first in a series of soundtracks that feature music heard in the first season of the critically acclaimed series on FOX. "Glee: The Music, Volume 1" will feature spectacular renditions of several chart-topping hits.

GLEE, the genre-defying new musical comedy series, follows an optimistic teacher who - against all odds and a malicious cheerleading coach - attempts to save McKinley High's Glee Club from obscurity while helping a group of aspiring underdogs realize their true star potential.

Starring Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Jessalyn Gilsig, Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Mark Salling and Jenna Ushkowitz, GLEE is produced by Ryan Murphy Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan are co-creators of the series. Murphy, Falchuk and Dante di Loreto serve as executive producers, while Ian Brennan serves as co-executive producer.
