Daniel J. Watts' THE JAM to Play LA's Federal Bar
After several sold out performances at New York City's Canal Room, Daniel J. Watts (After Midnight, Memphis) is finally bringing his spoken word based contemporary revue-style show to North Hollywood's Federal Bar on Monday, June 1st. Watts commented, "I'm excited to finally let LA know what they've been missing." The project is co-produced by WattsWords Productions and 515 Incorporated, the production company of Vivian Nixon (Smash, Women on the Verge). The Jam: Spoken Word Preserves is an innovative spoken word concert led by Daniel J. Watts.
Utilizing a live band, interactive vocalists, and varying styles of dance, Watts weaves a soul revealing and, often times, comedic narrative that explores that thing called "life". A play-on-words, The Jam pays homage to Watts' great-grandmother, who after making jam from scratch would share with others what she could not consume herself. The Jam is Watts' continuation of that legacy, food for thought for any and all ears willing to taste it!
Featuring Hemmens Band, Rhett George (Sweet Charity, Wicked), Jesse Nager (Motown, Broadway Boys) & Donald Webber, Jr. (Motown, Holler If Ya Hear Me) with Special Guest appearances by Patrice Covington (Motown, Dreamgirls) & Condola Rashad (A Trip to Bountiful, Stick Fly).
Monday, June 1st. Doors open at 8pm. Show begins at 8:30pm.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. All tickets are general admission and can be purchased at www.wattswords.com.
Federal Bar is located at 5303 Lankershim, Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91601
