Come From Away

The Tony Award-winning musical Come From Away is partnering with The Happy Hour Guys to create Islander Pale Ale, the fifth beer in the Broadway Brews collection with a special collaboration between Brooklyn-based brewery Five Boroughs Brewing Co. and Newfoundland-based brewery YellowBelly Brewery.

A portion of the proceeds of Islander Pale Ale will benefit Tuesday's Children, a non-profit organization that supports youth, families, and communities impacted by terrorism and traumatic loss.

A lively, highly drinkable pale ale bursting with the essence of Newfoundland with fruit, pine and sea spray, Islander Pale Ale will only be available on tap at select bars & venues throughout NYC beginning Tuesday, March 5, 2019.

New episodes of The Happy Hour Guys will begin streaming exclusively on The STAGE Network beginning Tuesday, March 5, 2019.

"We've wanted to work with Come From Away since it opened two years ago and are thrilled to finally have them join us," said Happy Hour Guys' Jimmy Ludwig. "The cast was instrumental in helping us create this delicious beer that will help benefit a fantastic cause," he adds. "We are now half way towards our goal of a Broadway six-pack-six shows, six craft brews that benefit six distinct charities." Adds Mark Aldrich, "We're very specific when we consider pairing a show with a brewery and in this case it's a perfect match. Five Borough's team were so inspired after seeing the show, they were literally bursting with ideas."

Said Ann Reilly, Events Manager, Five Boroughs, "We jumped at the chance to brew a beer with the Come From Away cast. The show completely lends itself to innovative flavors. We're thrilled that this show created something truly spectacular that will benefit a wonderful cause."

The Broadway Brews Project is an initiative put together by The Happy Hour Guys (Mark Aldrich and Jimmy Ludwig) to pair hit Broadway shows with local craft brewers, to brew a special one-off beer, themed in relation to their show for a charity of the show's choosing. The Broadway Brews Project launched its first collaboration called Rise Up Rye, partnering with Gun Hill Brewing Company and the cast of the smash Broadway musical Hamilton. Since then Waitress, Phantom of the Opera and School of Rock have all contributed beers to the "Broadway Six Pack" benefiting charities across the U.S.
