BWW TV: On the Red Carpet for the Opening of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES at LA's Pantages Theatre

After a much anticipated west coast arrival, the U.S. National Tour of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES presented by Broadway LA at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood officially opened Wednesday, July 11, 2012. And, Los Angeles BroadwayWorld TV Correspondent Michael Sterling and Producer Jerry Evans were on hand to get up close and personal with the show's two stars... veteran film and television star George Hamilton andtwo-time Tony Award® nominee and Broadway veteran Christopher Sieber. Go on the red carpet of the big opening below!

Additionally, a bevy of celebrities including Jacqueline Bisset, Alana Stewart, John Savage, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Jo Ann Worley, Peter Marshall, Lucy Lawless, Shirley Jones, Loni Anderson, Kevin Chamberlin, Masiela Lusha, Kat and Karen Kramer, and legendary TV producer George Schlatter joined the sold out audience for the high energy festivities. The winner of three 2010 Tony Awards®, including Best Revival of a Musical, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES plays at the Pantages Theatre through July 22.

The Pantages Theatre is located at 6233 Hollywood Boulevard, just east of Vine Street, and the box office opens daily at 10am.

The original production of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES was one of Broadway's biggest hits of the 1980s. It opened August 21, 1983 at the Palace Theatre, where it played for over four years and 1,761 performances. The show won six Tony Awards in 1984, including Best Musical, Best Score (Jerry Herman) and Best Book (Harvey Fierstein).

Featured in LA CAGE AUX FOLLES are Bernard Burak Sheredy as M. Dindon/M. Renaud, Cathy Newman as Mme. Dindon/Mme. Renaud, Dale Hensley as Francis, Allison Blair McDowell as Anne, Michael Lowney as Jean-Michel, Gay Marshall as Jacqueline, Jeigh Madjus as Jacob, Kate Donohue as Colette; Danny Vaccaro as Tabarro and Wilson Bridges as Etienne. Rounding out the company are: Matt Anctil, Christophe Caballero, Trevor Downey, SuEllen Estey, Logan Keslar, Todd Lattimore, Terry Lavell, Mark Roland, Donald C. Shorter Jr., Lauren Sprague and Todd Thurston.

The Pantages Theatre performance schedule for LA CAGE AUX FOLLES is Tuesday through Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm & 8pm, and Sunday at 1pm & 6:30pm.
