By:

STERLING'S UPSTAIRS AT VITELLO'S in Studio City, CA (www.vitellosrestaurant.com) is pleased to announce that ALEXANDRA BILLINGS will return for a one-night only special birthday performance - Sunday, March 28th, 2010. Bill Newlin will serve as Musical Director. The event is co-produced by Michael Sterling of Michael Sterling & Associates in Los Angeles (www.msapr.net) and Ralph Lampkin, Jr. of the Lampkin Music Group in the Midwest. (www.lampkinmusic.com)

Named BEST FEMALE CABARET ARTIST 2009 by Broadway World last November, Alexandra is a recipient of a MAC Award from the Manhattan Association of Concert and Cabaret Artists, 5 After Dark Awards from Gay Chicago Magazine and a Jeff Award (the Chicago equivalent to a Tony Award). She was also nominated for an Artist Director Achievement Award as Best Actress in a Musical for her critically acclaimed one-woman, autobiographical show-in-song Before I Disappear presented in Los Angeles during 2005. Regional productions appeared in Chicago, Boston and Michigan, with the show opening Off-Broadway in 2003 at The Producer's Club. In addition to Alexandra's two recordings Being Alive and The Story Goes On, (LMGMUSIC) produced by Ralph Lampkin Jr., her work has received national attention for performances in nightclubs and theaters throughout the U.S. including The Empire Room, 88's, The Mercury Theater, Don't Tell Mama's, Gentry's of Chicago, Arci's Place, Park West and Toulouse. She has also received impressive praise for her guest-starring roles on television's Grey's Anatomy and ER; and was inducted into Chicago's Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame.

Ms. Billings is currently a Viewpoints teacher at Steppenwolf in Chicago and Los Angeles, alongside Jeff Perry and Tom Irwin. Last December she shared the theater stage with Emmy Award winner Leslie Jordan in the LA premiere of his all-new show An Evening with Leslie Jordan: Full of Gin and Regret.
