THE SENIOR FOLLIES: THE CREATIVE AGE Set for One Night at WHBPAC Tonight
As part of its 15th Anniversary celebrations, the newly refurbished Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center presents a FREE performance, The Senior Follies: The Creative Age, starring WHBPAC's "Melodies & Memories" Life-Long Learning Program, with special guests The Flanderettes, The TAPHAMPTON Dancers, and members of The Harbormen Chorus today, April 28 at 4pm. Tickets are FREE and will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
Prepare to be dazzled as the acting ensemble of our nationally recognized "Melodies & Memories" Life-Long Learning program, alongside special guest senior performing arts groups The Flanderettes, The TAPHAMPTON Dancers and members of The Harbormen Chorus, fill the stage with talent! The performance will explore what it means to be a senior in 2013 through both comedic and poignant original scenes, and celebrates those in the prime of their "creative age" by showcasing seniors who playwrite, act, sing, and dance!
"Our 'Melodies & Memories' performances have always moved and delighted our audience," says Julienne Penza, Managing Director of Arts Education and Theatrical Director of the Program. "But now, we are poised to take this performance to the next level. Weaving scenes with performances from some top-notch senior performing groups will make this show a celebration of all things senior - the perfect way to kick off the Performing Arts Center's 15th Anniversary!"
Tickets: FREE. Visit 76 Main Street, Westhampton Beach, NY (Wednesday - Sunday, Noon - 6pm and later on show nights).
