BROADWAY SINGS FOR PRIDE to Headline Long Island Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, 11/10

For the 3rd year in a row, Broadway Sings For Pride? (www.BroadwaySingsforPride.com) cast members from Jersey Boys, The Fantasticks, South Pacific and Avenue Q will headline the closing night reception of the 17th Annual Long Island Gay & Lesbian Film Festival on the evening of Monday, November 10, 2013. The event will take place at the Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington, New York. Audiences can expect to hear live musical performances from Broadway's best!

Broadway Sings for Pride alumni schedule to appear: Russell Fischer (Broadway's Jersey Boys, Big: The Musical (Second National Tour), Rebecca Larkin? (Broadway: Lincoln'Center's South Pacific and Avenue Q) and Matt Leisy (Off Broadway: The Fantasticks, Carousel (New York Philharmonic).

The festival brings the best in LGBT Film to the Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington. With feature films, documentaries, and short film programs, the festival will again be the largest LGBT art event on Long Island! The 17th Annual Long Island Gay & Lesbian Film Festival runs from Friday November 7th to Monday November 10, 2014.

Broadway Sings For Pride, a nominee for "Most Valuable Campaign" from the New Organizing Institute, is a non-for-profit organization which brings together Broadway talent and celebrities to promote LGBT equality through song. Launched in June 2011, we have received support from Channing Tatum, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Tim Gunn, Carol Channing, Neil Patrick Harris, Kathy Griffin, Bernadette Peters, Nathan Lane, Joy Behar, Wendy Williams and many others.
