Arts One Presents brings Shakespeare into the heart of Downtown Springdale with the inaugural production of its Shakespeare in the Park Series, Much Ado About Nothing.
One of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies, Much Ado About Nothing is a lively battle of wits, romance and ridiculous misunderstandings. At the center of the story are Beatrice and Benedick—two sharp-tongued skeptics who insist they want nothing to do with love, even as their friends scheme to bring them together. Meanwhile, young lovers Claudio and Hero find their own romance threatened by deception, rumors and more than a little meddling.
Filled with quick wit, mistaken intentions, memorable characters and plenty of romantic chaos, Much Ado About Nothing proves that when it comes to love, things have always been complicated.
Audiences are invited to bring their lawn chairs and blankets and experience Shakespeare outdoors at Luther George Park on Sunday, October 4, with performances at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
This production launches AOP’s new Shakespeare in the Park Series, creating another opportunity for the community to experience live theatre together in the heart of Northwest Arkansas.
In the event of inclement weather, an indoor performance location will be announced.
