The Mystery Writers of America has announced the nominations for the 2011 Edgar Allan Poe Awards, honoring excellence in mystery fiction, non-fiction, television and theater. Among this year's three nominees for Best Play is Robert Ford's The Fall of the House, which had its world premiere at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival in March, 2010 and was performed in staged reading as part of TheatreSquared's 2011 Arkansas New Play Fest.
