Bring your locas out for a night of jajajas from Chicagoland's top Latina/e/x, BIPOC, and honorary loca comedians and special guests! We're on a special date this month AND we have la jefa herself headlining...the one and only Gwen La Roka.

Gwen La Roka is a dynamic, rising star in the Chicago comedy scene known for her authentic, high-energy stand-up that bridges physicality with heartfelt storytelling. Since exploding onto the comedy landscape in 2009, she’s graced iconic stages such as The Laugh Factory, Zanies, The Improv, and the TBS Just for Laughs Festival. As the creator of the sold-out one-woman show Mi Casa Es Tu Casa, Gwen blends her Latin roots and real-life experiences, from growing up in a Latin household to navigating body image and social justice themes, into comedy that’s both quirky and relatable. A proud winner of the 2021 NY Latino Film Festival’s Latino Stand-Up Comedy Competition, she also made history as the first Latina from Chicago to debut a comedy special on HBO Max via Entre Nos: The Winners 3. Energetic and genuine, Gwen La Roka continues to captivate diverse audiences with her sharp writing, inclusive humor, and passion for activism.
