CALLING ALL CHINGONAS!! It's finally here- #summertimechi is back! Street fests are in full swing, it's Pride Month, and we're celebrating it all with a noche of herlarious comedy! Bring your locas out for a night of jajajas from Chicagoland's top Latina/e/x, BIPOC, and honorary loca comedians and special guests!

Every month, on the first Thursday of the month, Las Locas Comedy celebrates all the badass women in our lives with a hot night of all-loca comedy at Chingona Comedy Hour at Laugh Factory Chicago!

Headliner: Deanna Ortiz (3X Best Standup by Chicago Reader)

Deanna Ortiz is a celebrated stand-up comedian, writer, and podcast host based in Chicago. Recognized as the Chicago Reader’s Best Standup of the Year in both 2022 and 2023, Ortiz has become a prominent figure in the city's comedy scene. She began her comedy career at 18 and has since graced stages at renowned venues such as The Lincoln Lodge, Zanies, and The Laugh Factory.

Ortiz is the creator and host of the podcast Crushes!, which delves into celebrity infatuations and features the interactive game “Hot or Just Tall.” The podcast has garnered attention from outlets like Vulture and was nominated for Best Podcast in the Chicago Reader’s Best Of list . She also hosts The Drunk Cooking Show on Instagram and co-hosts Crime For Bed on Hatch.

Beyond performing, Ortiz contributes as a writer for NPR’s Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me! and has been featured in media outlets including WGN News, FOX Good Day Chicago, and TimeOut Chicago . She is also dedicated to nurturing new talent, teaching at The Lincoln Lodge’s Feminine Comique program, which empowers aspiring female comedians.
