Orleans Summer Comedy Series Continues With Special Guest Maz Jobrani 7/31-8/1

For the third weekend at The Orleans Showroom, The Orleans Summer Comedy Series starring comedian, actor and host of NBC's The Marriage Ref Tom Papa continues July 31 and August 1. Joining Papa for this engagement is funnyman Maz Jobrani.

For the past eight years, Tom Papa has been touring with Jerry Seinfeld, who personally selected Papa to be the host of The Marriage Ref. As a stand-up comic, Papa has recorded specials for Comedy Central and Steven Soderbergh is directing his next special due later in 2010. As an actor, Papa starred opposite Matt Damon in The Informant! and has appeared in Analyze That and Comedian. He had a voiceover role in DreamWorks' Bee Movie, and film for which he also received writing credits. Papa's voice is heard in the animated feature The Haunted World of El Super Beasto, as he voices the title character. On the small screen, Papa appeared in a recurring role on the CBS sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine.

Maz Jobrani is a founding member of the Axis of Evil Comedy Tour, showcasing the top Middle Eastern-American comedians on the scene. The 2007 tour played in the U.S. followed by a sold-out 27-show stint in the Middle East and a Comedy Central special. Jobrani hit the road again last year with a solo tour Maz Jobrani: Brown and Friendly, which also aired on Showtime. He has appeared in several films including Friday After Next, The Interpreter and 13 Going on 30, among others; and has had recurring and guest starring roles on television including Better Off Ted, Knights of Prosperity, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The West Wing and NYPD Blue. LA Weekly has called his stand-up "devilishly funny" and "extraordinary" and he has performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

Following this engagement, The Orleans Summer Comedy Series Starring Tom Papa will have its final weekend August 27-28 with special guest Greg Giraldo. Tickets are on sale now.
