Mandalay Bay welcomes Rima Fakih, Miss USA 2010, to Las Vegas in conjunction with her nationwide media tour to promote the upcoming 2010 Miss Universe® Pageant on Thursday, June 24. The Pageant is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 23 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Miss Universe 2009, Stefanía Fernández from Venezuela, will crown her successor at the end of this event.

NBC, Donald J. Trump and Paula M. Shugart, President of the Miss Universe Organization, recently announced the 2010 Miss Universe® Pageant will air live on NBC and Telemundo. Miss Universe 2009, Stefania Fernandez, will crown her successor at the conclusion of the two-hour telecast. She has spent her reign traveling worldwide as an advocate for HIV/AIDS education, research and legislation. Contestants, representing more than 80 countries around the world, will compete in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview. Worldwide distribution of the competition has topped more than 190 countries in past years.
