Broadway Bound & Studio One's Summerlin Dance Academy to Present ANYTHING GOES, 9/11-26

Broadway Bound and Studio One's Summerlin Dance Academy are proud to present "Anything Goes." The classic production by musical legend Cole Porter will be brought to life for 12 special performances, Sept. 11-26 at the Summerlin Library Theater. Tickets are now on sale at www.BroadwayBoundLV.com.

Widely considered the definitive musical comedy of its time, "Anything Goes" follows the romantic trials and tribulations of a diverse cast of memorable characters aboard the SS American. The Tony Award-Winning musical, which introduced audiences to Porter's masterpieces, "Anything Goes", "You're the Top", and "I Get a Kick Out of You," debuted on Broadway in 1934, and became one of the decade's longest-running productions, despite the impact of the Great Depression.

"Cole Porter's contributions to musical theater are among the most important in the history of Broadway," said Broadway Bound Director and Instructor Michael Vojvodich. "We're excited, not only to put on this iconic show, but also to celebrate a legendary composer and songwriter."

The Broadway Bound program at Studio One's Summerlin Dance Academy is the first of its kind in Las Vegas to provide its students instruction in acting technique, singing and dancing, as well as offer youth in the community opportunities to be cast in full-scale, multi-show productions. Net proceeds from Broadway Bound shows are donated to Broadway Bound Kidz, a non-profit organization, which is committed to the enrichment, entertainment and education of young people in a theater arts and dance environment.

Performances of "Anything Goes" can be seen at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings, along with 1 p.m. matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday, and one special time on Monday, Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at www.BroadwayBoundLV.com or by calling (702) 838-5131.
