Assistant Company Manager - The Old Globe Theatre

The Old Globe seeks an Assistant Company Manager to assist in the day-to-day responsibilities of the Company Management department. The Assistant Company Manager will make Travel/Housing arrangements for guest artists, provide transportation for artist needs (such as for medical appointments, groceries, errands, and airport transportation,) and provide concierge services to Guest Artists for all specific needs which arise. The position will also assist in the oversight of The Old Globe’s 22-unit actor housing complex, including purchasing, scheduling housekeeping, and ordering repairs. Other duties include facilitating shipping and distribution of all actor packages, including transporting/lifting/carrying boxes to and from housing, and assisting with all opening and closing night parties.



Ideal candidate will have strong administrative and Interpersonal skills and experience working in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. A background in theatre, and/or experience working with artists/talent or in event planning or apartment management preferred.



Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, including up and down stairs, and have a valid driver’s license. Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:30pm plus on call every other Saturday from 10:00am-2:00pm. Must also be available for some night and weekend work. Full-time position with benefits. The hourly rate is $25.00/hour.
