WERE BACK!Yes, the long wait is over. The Sunday Songbook comes crashing back to the Everyman on 10 October and what a programme we have for our favourite audience.Just think girls in mini-skirts with long boots, boys in bell-bottoms with long hair, super-models and photographers, Mods and Rockers, Mary Quant and Twiggy, Carnaby Street and the Kings Road the Sixties hit London like a tsunami and soon the beat was reverberating all around the world. Even the US couldnt keep up.And the music? Cilla Black, Dusty Springfield and Mary Hopkin were vying with Cliff Richard, Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck for that coveted spot on Top of the Pops but they all took a back seat when the latest Beatles record hit the air waves. The Swinging Sixties will take you back to the glory days of pop when life was fun and only bank robbers wore facemasks.Do join Alf McCarthy (MC), Linda Kenny, Damian Smith, Alan Carney (MD) and our Songbook band for what promises to be a memorable homecoming. After all, Its Been a Hard Days Night!
