ALL DRESSED UP AND NOWHERE TO GO To Have Industry Reading; NaTasha Yvette Williams, & More Lead Cast

Big Dipper Productions will present an industry reading of ALL DRESSED UP AND NOWHERE TO GO on Friday, October 12 at Pearl Studios. This World Premiere, directed by Hannah Ryan (Resident Director of HAMILTON), has music and lyrics by Jimmy Roberts (Composer of the long-running I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE) and a book by award-winning playwright Catherine Filloux and John Daggett, with additional lyrics by John Daggett.

ALL DRESSED UP AND NOWHERE TO GO, a 2018 NAMT Finalist, will feature Jordan Barrow, DeMone, Lori Hammel, Caitlin Houlahan, Nehal Joshi, Sean Allan Krill, Liz Larsen, Bianca Leigh, Robert Wesley Mason and NaTasha Yvette Williams. Stage Manager is Kelly A. Martindale with casting by Geoff Josselson, CSA.

Joan Wilkes must sell The Big Dipper Inn, her offbeat and debt-ridden motel in Buffalo, known for its singing hostess and rich family history. But when a monster blizzard maroons a group of Amish folks and a busload of cross-dressers on her doorstep, possibilities abound.

NaTasha Yvette Williams, who plays Joan Wilkes, is currently on Broadway in WAITRESS and has appeared in THE COLOR PURPLE and PORGY AND BESS. Jordan Barrow, who plays her son Dez, appeared in the Toronto musical SOUSATZKA and The Public's THE TEMPEST. Sean Allan Krill, who plays Jacky, recently appeared in American Repertory Theater's JAGGED LITTLE PILL and The Public's JOAN OF ARC: INTO THE FIRE and Robert Wesley Mason, who plays the Amish farmer Amos, appeared in THE CONSUL at Opera Saratoga and made his Carnegie Hall Debut with American Modern Ensemble. Caitlin Houlahan plays Rebecca, Amos' rebellious daughter (WAITRESS and The Public's GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY), with Bianca Leigh as Barbie (film TRANSAMERICA, Taylor Mac's theater epic THE LILY'S REVENGE), Liz Larsen as Bonnie (BEAUTIFUL, HAIRSPRAY, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW and DAMN YANKEES on Broadway), DeMone as Mr. Sapper (MISS SAIGON, RAGTIME, RENT, BIG RIVER), plus Nehal Joshi (SCHOOL OF ROCK and GETTIN' THE BAND BACK TOGETHER) and Lori Hammel (MAMMA MIA! and Dolly Parton's 9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL) both playing multiple roles.

Creators Bios:

Jimmy Roberts composed the music for I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, the second longest-running Off Broadway musical. Written with playwright Joe DiPietro, I Love You received both the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations as Best Musical. It has since played in all fifty states as well as over 25 countries around the world. Two additional scores, The Thing About Men (Best Musical, Outer Critics Circle) and The Velveteen Rabbit, a children's musical, received rave reviews. The New York Times lauded his "rhythmically perceptive voice."

Catherine Filloux is an award-winning playwright who has been writing about human rights and social justice for twenty-five years. Catherine was honored in NYC with the 2017 Otto René Castillo Award for Political Theatre. Filloux is the librettist for composer Olga Neuwirth's new opera, Orlando, premiering at the Vienna State Opera in 2019. She wrote the libretti for the operas: New Arrivals, at Houston Grand Opera, composed by John Glover; Where Elephants Weep (Composer Him Sophy) at Chenla Theater in Phnom Penh, Cambodia; and The Floating Box (Composer Jason Kao Hwang) at Asia Society in NYC, selected as a Critics Choice in Opera News, released by New World Records.

John Daggett is a differently-abled actor who has starred Off-Broadway in critically acclaimed plays including Lemkin's House, Teahouse of the August Moon and Love Lemmings. Other New York credits include: Rome, Portrait of a President, An Artist's Life, The Witches Triptych, and his one-man show Flying by the Seat of my Pants (Theatre Row). Regional: Guthrie, Merrimack Rep, Jewish Repertory Theatre, Portland Stage, Roxy Theatre, Odyssey Theater, Kavinoky Theatre and H.T.Y. Numerous roles for Pennsylvania Shakespeare, Orlando Shakespeare, Shakespeare in Delaware Park, Lake Tahoe Shakespeare and Sherwood Shakespeare. John served as a member of the Government Relations Committee of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
