LA LA LAND IN CONCERT will perform at the Ciputra Artpreneur in Jakarta, Indonesia on November fourth and fifth. The film had its premiere in 2016, and is a romantic, musical-comedy drama written and directed by Damien Chazelle. La La Land was nominated for 14 Academy Awards and won six, including Best Cinematography, Best Score, and Best Original Song (City of Stars). LA LA LAND IN CONCERT premiered at the Hollywood Bowl in May, and will continue its world tour through the end of the year.

La La Land follows Mia (Emma Stone), an aspiring actress, and Sebastian (Ryan Gosling), a jazz musician as they struggle to follow their dreams in the brutal Los Angeles entertainment industry. They meet by chance and soon fall in love, both still trying to make ends meet.

Justin Hurwitz wrote the Academy Award-winning music, while the talented duo of Pasek and Paul (Dear Evan Hansen) wrote the lyrics for the all the songs- except "Start a Fire," which was written by John Legend, Hurwitz, Marius de Vries, and Angelique Cinelu.

LA LA LAND IN CONCERT is a live-to-film concert, meaning the movie is projected in the background while the orchestra plays the score live. Lawerence Yee reported for Variety after the concert's opening in May, "It's the grand orchestrations that are truly magical, from "Planetarium" (where Mia and Sebastian waltz among the stars at Griffith Observatory) and as "Epilogue" swells to "The End." It doesn't hurt that fireworks punctuate the climaxes, from Mia and Sebastian's first on-screen kiss to the film's finale."
