The Indiana State University Department of Theater presents: DEATHTRAPby Ira LevinDirected by Carsyn WaylandFebruary 24-27, 2022Thursday-Saturday at 7:30 PM EDT; Sunday at 3:00 PM EDT ABOUT THE PLAY: Comfortably ensconced in his charming Connecticut home, Sidney Bruhl, a successful writer of Broadway thrillers, is struggling to overcome a dry spell which has resulted in a string of failures and a shortage of funds. A possible break in his fortunes occurs when he receives a script from a student in the seminar he has been conducting at a nearby collegea thriller that Sidney recognizes immediately as a potential Broadway smash. Sidneys plan, devised with his wifes help, is to offer collaboration to the student for co-credit. Or is it? Deathtrap provides twists and turns of devilish cleverness, and offers hilariously sudden shocks in such abundance that audiences will be spellbound until the very last moment.IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for students. Patrons must purchase tickets online ahead of time. Available seating is limited. House opens thirty minutes prior to the show. Patrons are required to wear a mask while indoors on the Indiana State University campus, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status.
