Carmel Community Players (CCP) has added a title sponsor for their upcoming fundraising event, "An Evening with Ben Vereen".

"We are pleased to announce that Current Publishing will be our Title Sponsor. Their publications, Current In Carmel, Current In Westfield, Current In Noblesville and Carmel Business Leader have established them as a solid provider of news and information in Hamilton County as well as a respected community leader. We are very excited and honored to be aligned with Current." says Brian Koning, CCP's director of marketing and public relations.

"Current is thrilled to be able to sponsor this event, and CCP has done a masterful job of bringing a true entertainment legend to our arts community," said Steve Greenberg, co-owner and executive vice president of Current Publishing, the parent company of Current in Carmel. "The countdown for March 7 is on! The chance to see Ben Vereen and help CCP raise funds is a wonderful opportunity. We certainly hope there will be a packed house at Carmel High School that night."

As part of the sponsorship arrangement, Current Publishing will be giving away four pairs of main floor tickets to "An Evening with Ben Vereen" as well as a grand prize of two VIP packages which include two orchestra seats and two tickets to the VIP reception with Ben Vereen to be held at the Carmel Community Playhouse at Clay Terrace following the performance. People can register online beginning Tuesday, February 9th at www.currentincarmel.com, www.currentinwestfield.com, or www.currentnoblesville.com.

Ben Vereen will appear at Carmel High School's 1,445-seat Dale E. Graham Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, 2010. Ticket prices start at $34 and are on sale now at the Carmel Community Players website at www.carmelplayers.org or by calling the Carmel Community Playhouse at Clay Terrace box office at 317-815-9387.
