This two-act play is the story of two husbands who want to try and bring about a change in their wives. Ravi’s wife Prabha tends to think she is unjustly treated and no one recognizes her goodness, while Vijay’s wife Sangeeta has an impulsive reaction to men who are trying to flirt with her. Ravi and Vijay believe that their lives are unnecessarily complicated due to their wives. Hence they try to bring about a change in their wives. Ravi gets to know of a coolie who is said to possess extraordinary spiritual powers with which he is capable of solving any human problems, and calls him for help.
The play, which is a mixture of the comic and the serious, addresses questions such as: What is a relationship problem? Is it possible to solve it? Is a change in temperament possible? Can one person change others? Why do changes also become problems? Is it possible to forget the past?
