SPONTANEOUS SMATTERING: The Eighth Smattering of the World

The Landing Theatre Company Presents a Cone Man Running Production

Benefitting the Houston Food Bank

It's back! The craziest night of scripted theatre you have ever experienced is back to not only entertain but, as always, to raise funds and food for the Houston Food Bank! On Saturday, June 4th, your free shot will be waiting for you at the door and the combined efforts of over 50 people will be on display in a completely random and raucous night of theatre not suitable for all ages.

At 7PM on Friday, June 3rd, the writers will meet and randomly draw their actors, get their other parameters and endeavor (sober or not) to write a presentable short play. They arrive back at the theater on Saturday, June 4th, scripts in hand at 8AM to hand off to the directors and casts who have until 7PM to run around and rehearse, find props and costumes and be amazing for two performances that very night - one at 7PM and one at 9:30PM. YES, IT'S ONE NIGHT ONLY - SATURDAY JUNE 4TH!

We're at a new location too this time! Our friends at The Landing Theatre Company are hosting this edition of the Smattering at their new theatre space:

Landing Theatre @ the Docks
1119 East Freeway (Providence Street)
Houston, Texas 77002

And as always you - the audience - will get to vote on awards such as Best Use of Genre, Best Use of Prop and the coveted "Best In Show"!

Tickets: Only $18 and all the money goes to the Food Bank. Also, if you bring a canned good/nonperishable item, you get $1 off your ticket (up to $5 off).
