From February 10 through February 12, Houston Symphony presents the beautiful songs and breathtaking vocal feats in this performance of Mahler’s The Song of the Earth, a spellbinding fusion of ancient Chinese poetry and music. Two-time Grammy Award-winning mezzo soprano Sasha Cooke and tenor Clay Hilley join Music Director Juraj Valuha and the orchestra, and the concerts open with Qigang Chen’s dreamy Itinerary of an Illusion.
