The 13th annual Heller Awards for Young Artists ceremony takes place May 6, 2026 at Bass Concert Hall, recognizing outstanding achievements in high school musical theatre by students and educators across the Greater Austin area. Broadway star Vincent Jamal Hooper, a Round Rock ISD alumnus known for his roles in The Lion King and Hamilton, will host the evening. With more than 400 students taking the stage, the ceremony features performances by nominees, the Impact Arts Select Ensemble, and a finale bringing together students from all participating schools, with direction and choreography by Ginger Morris and musical direction by Adam Roberts. Two students from eligible Lead and Supporting Performer nominees will advance to the National High School Musical Theatre Awards in New York City.
