Houston Chamber Choir Annual Gala Honoring Dr. David Ashley White Will Take Place 4/14
Houston Chamber Choir announces its annual gala "A Bohemian Rhapsody" on Sunday, April 14 at 5:30 pm at the Czech Center Museum Houston (4920 SAN JACINTO Street, Houston, TX 77004). The celebration honors Dr. David Ashley White, Director of the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston, for his dedication and commitment to the Houston Chamber Choir.
The event will showcase the musicians of the Chamber Choir and celebrate a successful season. In addition to a successful concert schedule, the 17th Houston Chamber Choir season marked the international release of a second commercial recording, Psalmi ad Vesperas (1694), an invitation to perform at the American Choral Directors Association National Conference in Dallas for over 4,000 attendees from around the world, and the launch of an in-school residency program at The Rusk School funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.
