Donate to Citadel Theatre in Chicago

This Giving Tuesday, your support can help keep live, professional theatre thriving right here on the North Shore and Lake County, Illinois!

For 23 years, Citadel Theatre has brought world-class productions, inspiring youth education programs, and creative opportunities for local artists to our community. Ticket sales cover only a portion of what it takes to produce the shows you love—your gift bridges the gap and keeps the magic alive.

Your donation makes a difference:

  • $1,000 sponsors the professional artists who bring our MainStage performances to life.

  • $500 supports a week of rehearsals for one of our acclaimed productions.

  • $250 keeps our stage lights bright and the sound clear for every performance.

  • $100 provides scripts, props, and costumes for our youth theatre students.

Join theatre lovers everywhere in celebrating the power of the arts. Together, we can make sure the stage stays bright for everyone who calls Citadel home.

Citadel Theatre is committed to producing exciting, compelling, emotionally and intellectually rich work of the highest caliber by bringing together gifted professionals from all theatrical disciplines.

Citadel seeks to provide a home for an audience that wants to experience powerful works of insight and complexity, illuminating the challenges and joys of the human experience. In doing this, Citadel seeks to provide a creative haven for passionate, visionary directors, writers, actors, and designers dedicated to maintaining the highest standard of professionalism.

We reach out to the community on many levels. Our many classes for children provide a wonderful learning experience, rich with theatre games, improvisation, voice development, character work, scene study, and movement. Taught by a staff of teachers who are both working theatre professionals and experienced educators, students gain confidence and communication skills, learning to integrate creativity with teamwork.
