'Leidenschaft zwischen Wasser und Feuer' - the newest dance production of German-Spanish flamenco formation Compania Flamenca Mujeria - the journey through four elements, through fire, water, earth and air, through liquid and solidification, throug process slowing down and reduction, through ecstasy and transitoriness, through the different elements of dancing body and its moves.
Fire - burning and consuming, it destroys merciless and thus make possible a new life.
Water - liquid change and constant move. Water is never calm because 'standing is passing'. Water, the base condition of life.
Earth - apparently tranquil but always in slow, tremendous change. Strenght and immovability are only outward appearance. In truth, the earth is light anchored in oscilations.
Air - unreachable and always present. Any light that nourishes embers. Fire expires without air. Life does not exist without air.
Flamenco associates all emotions of human existence in its archaic, sensually sad culture.
