TheatreZone Artistic Director Mark Danni today announced the addition of two performances: a Saturday matinee of the production of Whistle Down the Wind on January 18th at 2 pm, and a Saturday matinee of the production of High Society on Saturday, February 15th, 2014 at 2 pm.

"Thanks to the overwhelmingly positive ticket sales to our upcoming Season 9 "Year of the Composers" schedule, both Whistle Down the Wind and High Society already have sold out several performances," explains Danni. "To accommodate our theatre patrons' needs, we have added two new Saturday matinee performances."

Whistle Down the Wind, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, is based upon the novel by Mary Hayley Bell that follows the fortunes of a fugitive caught between the prejudice of adults and the innocence of the young.

High Society, with book by Arthur Kopit and music and lyrics by the legendary Cole Porter, is based upon the play "The Philadelphia Story" by Phillip Barry, revolving around the imminent wedding of a socialite whose ex-husband arrives with mischief planned to get the attention of the woman he still loves.

Operating under the guidelines of the Actors' Equity Association and small professional theatres contracts, TheatreZone is in residence and performs in the intimate 250-seat G&L Theatre housed on the magnificent campus of The Community School of Naples, one block north of Pine Ridge Road at 13275 Livingston Road.

TheatreZone opens Season 9 with Whistle Down the Wind, January 9 through January 19, 2014, followed by High Society, February 6 through 16, 2014 then Chess - The Musical starring internationally renowned tenor Michael Amante, March 6 - March 16, 2014 and concludes with Forever Plaid, May 1 through May 11, 2014.
