The Leon Levy Foundation Roundabout Directors Group (RDG) is a season-long cohort program at Roundabout Theatre Company for early-career directors, focused on career resources, lateral mentorship and industry knowledge rather than production assignments. Members meet monthly with established artists for workshops on topics such as moving from assisting to directing, TV/film directing, SDC, self-producing and representation, and receive tickets to all Roundabout productions, networking sessions, portfolio feedback, a headshot session and a professional-development fund. The program prioritizes directors from historically underrepresented groups.
Early-career directors; approximately 8-10 members per cohort; must be present in NYC at least monthly.
Focused on networking and industry knowledge rather than craft development. Applicants may apply to the Fellowship, RDG, or both.
